Who are we?
Healing Touch St. Louis is a heart-centered community of healers, located in the St. Louis area and serving
both Missouri and Illinois. In September of 1996, when the first Healing Touch class was held in St. Louis,
a commitment was made to provide not just classes, but to pool resources and build community.
HTSL developed into a not-for-profit organization in 1999 and is served by a Board
of Directors, Officers and support committees. Our membership participates by actively serving in a
variety of these positions. HTSL serves students through all 5 levels of
certification classes. We support our practitioners through development and
enrichment classes, support research projects, listings, networking and outreach opportunities. In 2004
we celebrated reaching our goal of completing charter membership, and in 2006 we established an office at
10000 Watson Road in St. Louis, Missouri. We look forward to a bright future of continued growth.
What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is an energy therapy that encompasses a group of non-invasive techniques that utilize the hands
to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields. The Healing Touch educational
program was developed by Janet Mentgen, RN, BSN utilizing a nursing continuing education format. The American
Holistic Nurses' Association and Healing
Touch International endorse the Healing Touch educational program provided by Healing Touch St. Louis.
The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) identifies an Energy Field Disturbance as a disruption
in the flow of energy surrounding a person's being that results in a disharmony of the body, mind, and/or spirit.
Healing Touch interventions may be used to restore, energize, and balance an energy field disturbance.
HTI certification classes sponsored by Healing Touch St. Louis are approved for continuing education units by
the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and are endorsed by the American Holistic
Nurses' Association.
What is our mission?
Healing Touch Saint Louis is a professional, non-profit organization of Healing Touch providers. This community
provides heart-centered support for members through practice sessions, continuing education, networking events
and communications. Within the Saint Louis area, this community promotes holistic, energy-based therapy by
organizing Healing Touch education, research, and other services.

Semi-monthly Clinic
On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, a clinic is held at
the Healing Touch St. Louis Office. Receive a session at minimal cost,
or just come learn about Healing Touch. Practitioners are invited to
